Something Out Of Nothing is a shop, gallery and creative safe space to display artworks, handcrafted items and prints.

Nikki Pinto, the creator behind the shop, struggled with her own physical and mental health which has had a profound impact on her life. She found expressing herself creatively with the art form of painting, helped ease her symptoms.
Seeing firsthand the benefits of creative expression, Nikki set out to create Something Out Of Nothing. A safe space and place of opportunities for artists. It’s based at 38 Heol Maengwyn, Machlynlleth. It currently displays over 30 differents artists work including originals, prints, sculptures and jewellery.
For artists looking to have their artwork displayed there, it includes a £10 monthly fee to rent the space for your artwork, with a 20% fee on artworks sold to go towards Something Out Of Nothing. They also include a profile of you and your work on their website. This is a flexible and affordable approach to getting artists work in a physical building. You also have the option to send your artworks via post which is particularly helpful if it is difficult to leave the house.
"I feel honoured to have my work displayed in such a welcoming space. I hope other galleries take inspiration from this "creative-shop" layout and implement aspects in their own spaces. There are so many barriers that artists face in getting their artwork on display. The work that Nikki and her partner Hugh are doing to lower those barriers is a rarity and pleasure to see." - Jordan Sallis, Exhibiting Artist
